About Us
Ann’s Little Lodgers is a small, safe and caring boarding accommodation for small animals including: guinea pigs; gerbils; rabbits, with a weight limit of 4kg; rats; hamsters and small to medium birds.
We ensure that all our guests are cared for with lots of time and all the attention they require to make them feel at home during their stay with us. We have spacious accommodation and an outside exercise area, giving rabbits and guinea pigs a safe home from home environment with daily outside play (weather dependent).
We have a lifelong passion for animals, with years of experience both owning, caring for and training a variety of animals both big and small, including: horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, budgerigars, chickens, tortoises, bearded dragons, musk turtles and chameleons.
Rest assured, your beloved pets will be treated as our own with the best care.

All public holidays will incur a £5 surcharge per booking

Medication Administration
Should your pet have a long term condition that requires regular dedication, please inform us before booking so we may discuss whether it is possible for us to administer their medication during their stay.
A fee of between £5-10 per day will apply.

Bookings Forms
Please complete the below enquiry form and we will respond within 24 hours letting you know if we have capacity for your chosen dates.
Please note, this is not confirmation of a reservation, a Holiday Boarding Agreement must be fully completed and returned alongside a deposit before a booking is complete.
We can, at that point, invite you for a visit and discussion about your pets needs and/or requirements during its stay with us.
Terms and Conditions & Booking Information
Please read the Terms and Conditions & Booking Information thoroughly as this contract will be deemed active when signed and the deposit has been received.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure booking and the remaining balance must be paid in full 1 week before arrival of your pet if via bank transfer or cash on the day. Payments can be made via Bank Transfer, Cash or Paypal. Bank details on request.

If, however, should you need to cancel your booking 6 weeks prior to your check-in date, your deposit will be refunded minus a £20 deduction for administration.

Should your pets stay be subject to a shorter duration than previously booked, the full fee of the pre-arranged dates will still be required at check-in. If holiday dates are changed or extended, we will try our best to accommodate this but cannot guarantee availability.

You must bring enough of your pet’s usual nuggets/muesli/dry food to last the duration (and a bit more) of their stay.

On receipt of your deposit, an appointment will be made to check-in and check-out your pet. On departure day, your pet must be checked out and collected by 12 noon. Any late collections will be charged as per the daily rate unless a time is agreed in advance.

Ann’s Little Lodgers requires that ALL rabbits are vaccinated against Myxomatosis & Viral Haemorrhagic Disease and RHVD2. On payment of final balance (1 week prior to arrival), proof of vaccination is required.

Proof will be required in the form of a vaccination card/certificated or confirmation from your vet. Vaccinations must have been administered at least two weeks prior to your pets check-in date to ensure effectiveness, A regular worming, mite and flystrike program is also advised to ensure the wellbeing of your pets. Failure to show your rabbit’s up-to-date vaccination card will result in the cancellation of your booking and your deposit will not be refunded.

You, ‘pet owner’, are required to inform us of any pre-existing conditions, dietary requirements, medical needs and/or behavioural issues prior to boarding.

Upon check-in we will health check all animals to ensure they appear in good health. We reserve the right, at all times, to decline to board your pet if they exhibit any signs of injury and/or ill health not in receipt of veterinary treatment and no refund will be made. We will advise you to seek veterinary advise as soon as possible. We do not take any responsibility for any inconvenience caused under these circumstances. We have a duty of care to all our guests and bio-security is of the upmost importance to us.

In the unlikely event of your pet becoming ill whilst in our care, we will attempt to contact you using the details given at check-in. If we are unable to contact you and we feel your pet needs veterinary care, we will seek veterinary care with your vet (where possible) or our own vet if necessary. An emergency contact name and number is required and must be able to arrange collection if required. We will contact your emergency contact should your pet need collecting or if you are uncontactable. We will provide the vet with your details for payment and your agreement to cover all veterinary costs incurred. Should we need to transport your pet to the vets, this will incur a fee of £20 per hour round trip to and from vets. If your pet needs medication administered a charge of £5 per day will be charged. Please note, we are unable to care for your pet around the clock, nor are we able to syringe feed them. Should this be required, your pet will have to be returned to you, your emergency contact or stay at the vets where they will receive professional medical care.

It is at the owners own risk if any illness or death occurs during or after their pets stay will us.

We accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet becomes ill or passes away whilst in the care of Ann’s Little Lodgers. Should your pet pass away during their stay with us, you will be contacted immediately. As we do not have the facility to preserve deceased pets, it will need to be collected within 24 hours by owner or emergency contact or be taken to a local vet for cold preservation. Boarding fees are non-refundable in the event of death of a pet.

We agree to care for your pets to a high standard including regularly cleaning enclosures, bowls, hides, etc with veterinary grade disinfectant. We will provide unlimited hay and suitable vegetables where appropriate (at a small cost per day). We will health check animals daily and contact you if we have any concerns.

In the event of an animal not being collected by the agreed ‘check-out’ date, we will attempt to contact you or the emergency contact via phone, If we are unable to make contact, we reserve the right to re-home your pet if your pet is not collected within 7 days of the agreed ‘check-out’ date, and you, the owner, will be liable for all expenses incurred.

We accept no liability for injury sustained by your pet or any other person whilst on our premises.
